The Winds of Valour
Fate Points are earned in three ways.
FP are essentially used to boost rolls. After an unsatisfactory roll, players can opt to spend one FP and roll additional dice. The number of extra dice they can add equals the number of 6s they originally rolled. If they roll more 6s, these can stack.
Example: PC1 rolls 5d6, resulting in 2, 1, 1, 4, and 6. Ze needs 4 successes, but only 4 and 6 qualify. Ze can spend a FP to roll one additional die. It comes up 6, which means PC1 gets to roll again. It comes up 4, so PC1’s turn is over, ze succeeds in hir roll, everyone’s happy.
